Arthur Rhames
How Great You Are

Reviews

Music by the sadly under-recorded genius multi-instrumentalist. The now legendary Arthur Rhames came out of Brooklyn to work in the bands of Elvin Jones, Beaver Harris, Reggie Workman, Archie Shepp and Rashied Ali, George Clinton and Steve Arrington’s Hall Of Fame among others. He led the Fusion trio Eternity in the late 70’s before finding management and leading his own quartet in 1980. This is a double CD live recording of 2 club performances with Arthur’s working band during 1980-83, playing his original compositions and Jazz standards.
